I do agree that Danny got nervous. I pointed this out as being one of the factors that left me feeling a distance between the two. However, it was up to the director and the partner to find a way to bring it all back around. Danny is an easy read on what works and what doesn’t work with this guy. Parker is as well. The final shot of them kissing and Dannys response was a real good idea how they should have began the whole situation. It doesn’t take great acting to get that throughout the entire film. Even with a basic scripted format with “amatures” Cody knew he had a rare opportunity when Danny offered up his cherry for the cameras so it was up to him to find the correct pairing where even nerves would have to be overcome.

I disagree that two performers can suddenly pull out of the situatioin once you’ve actually met and the action has started. Especially if you have traveled a distance. However, the scene is still filmed and what you see is what you get. I think this one falls under awkward and there was a reolve half way through it to just get it done.
