Something has changed on the site.The sex is mechanical and soulless over the last 2 months.There is no chemistry between the guys or any joking/witty banter.

I looked back at old updates last night and they were 100 times better.Guys like Spence,Kenny,Ajay etc etc who chatted away and were naturally friendly,and they got down to some hot shagging.Its just not the same anymore.

Gef- I think you are right on the mark. One of your correspondenents mentioned that since the Parkers and Wesleys and Billys have come (no pun intended) on the scene there has been no one straight who has stepped in and become a fixture. It all goes back to the DNA article from last year, I think. Maybe too much exposure. I think a January roundup woukd be great. Poor Cooper, I think he is just lost in the controversy.

Well, SC really needs more blonde guys. So, Cooper kind of fits that bill. I have thought for a long while that Sean usually picks dark-haired guys over blondies. I mean, there’s nothing more sexier than a hairy blonde guy’s arse, right? Oh, and those hairy blonde legs! I used to fantasize as a young pup about hairy blonde guys. Anyway, I agree with Gef. SC needs some manly, hairy guys to contrast with the smooth, twinky boys.

I agree about the Sean Cody quality. I’ve been considering dropping my membership…but I keep holding out thinking it will get better. I’m not sure I’ll be holding out much longer. Remember the “good ol’ days” when the straight guys seemed a little more “uncomfortable” with the whole thing? Remember the contests and the hot group stuff? Even the guy/girl stuff was kinda hot. Luke, Adam, Zach, Evan, Cory…I’d love to see any or all of them back on here.

Gef, I do agree with just about everything you’ve said. You’ve made some very fair points… There’s something else that’s been popping up on SC for the last couple of months that annoys me and that’s the guy that comes into the category of easy money… or so it would seem. Guys that are like “oh my friend did a jerk-off vid and i heard it’s a really good way to earn some quick cash”.

There’s been a few of them recently…Guys just interested in some quick cash for blowing a load.

Also offers some sort of explanation as to why there have been MANY hot blokes who haven’t returned…

I think what’s happened in the last year or so is that Sean has made so much money that the SC brand as it were has been taken over by someone else. I have a feeling that Sean might not even be as involved in the week-to-week operations as he once was. Remember back in the old days when he was always in that same ugly hotel room with Dylan or Luke or Zach? Remember Horse Hung? I don’t even think any of these guys are really straight either. I think more and more of them are gays trying to break into the porn biz, a la Gage, which is fine, but for me, it’s where SC started becoming really transparent.

The one thing, I dont like is the guy doing that interviews, I know its not Sean, if it is, he suddenly become a real idiot. Its embarassing to listen to. What I find silly is the ridiculous flexing and showing of the asshole during the interview. Yeah yeah we know they have one. And I guess he likes thin guys with brown hair, ones that almost look like him. Well its his site, we dont have to watch.

And Speaking of Sean I liked it when he used to get in on the action with the massages and the occasionally blowing a various guy. Especially that time when he and Luke were making out, I have always wondered if he and Zack ever fucked each other, would have been fun to watch.

Maybe the reason why the quality in SC is deteriorating because the average vid in SC is still better than the other sites?

I had canceled my membership a few months ago because of a problem with the DRM. I got a new computer and got back on SC but it has kind of been a disappointment. I mean i love watching billy but thats just because he is hot. Just about all the other guys on there now though are kind of lame. It’s like they are trying their best not to think about what they are doing. I thought it was just me but I really do like the old SC videos a lot more. Now that he dropped the DRM and ive re-downloaded the old ones I don’t see much reason to stay on. I’m going to give him until the end of the billing cycle to prove me wrong.

And yeah the guy behind the camera making the guys flex and show their asses is a total idiot.

I’ve been a fan of SC’s for about a year or two now, and even though I haven’t been around since the beginning, I can see a major change in the site. Back when I started watching, there was passion all around - from Sean, the models, and those of us watching. All of that passion seems to have died down.

My major problem with the site is that it’s incredibly predictable. They pick the same kind of guys, do the exact same things with them, do it in the exact same location, release new videos on the same day every week…and it’s all just gotten very routine and very boring. There’s no excitement from anyone.

I think the guys on SC are consistently better looking than guys on other sites, but I think other sites like Corbin Fisher find guys with much more “star” appeal and that makes them stand out more, which makes them hotter. Sean Cody has a handful of guys I’d consider “stars”, whereas Corbin Fisher has 10-20 guys like that.

One thing I don’t like about SC when comparing it to CF is that on SC you never know when you’re going to just stop randomly seeing one of the models. You might see a guy for 5 or 6 videos and then never see him again. With CF, you can pretty much count on Dawson, Lucas, etc. to stick around and break in the new guys.

Obviously there’s a lot of room for improvement over at SC, but I do have to give them credit for bringing back Parker and Harley (two of my favorite guys). When SC gets it right, they get it right better than any other site. I’d watch videos of Parker reading from a book…literally. He’s the king of gay for pay to me.

So as long as SC keeps Parker (and co.) around and finds an occasional catch like Danny or Berke, I’m going to remain a fan…even if that means I have to put up with watching many of the same guys doing many of the same things with people they’ve already done it with many times all in many of the same places.

Here’s to hoping that SC spices things up in 08!

I would like to see more variety - some black guys, some asians, some latinos, etc. It wouldn’t gross me out if SC posted videos of guys who didn’t always look like models - real people are sexy too. Also, let us get to know the guys better and allow us to form a connection with them. That’ll keep us coming back.

Also, one final note…

I know people are a huge fan of Billy, but this site is supposed to be gay for pay, not gay every day. Guys like Billy tend to ruin the fantasy for me. He’s way too girly for my taste, and I like to think of these guys as being straight. A lot of models aren’t even pretending anymore, which is a let down for me. I’d rather see them with girls than with girly guys. And speaking of girls, I would LOVE some more videos of guys + girls. If SC posted videos of Parker, Danny, and Harley with women, it would be INSANELY HOT, and it would show that some part of them still craves pussy.

Okay….I commented earlier….and I’m back again. I was so intent on making my point, that I neglected to say any of the positive comments that I had in mind. In general the site is pretty hot, and the new design is great. SC is the first site I ever subscribed to, and when I first joined I couldn’t get enough otf it! There are some good things to be said, but there are also improvements that would be helpful in keeping customers happy. I would love to see more contests, old favorites (I mentioned a few of the guys in my earlier posting) and pushing the limits with the guy’s comfort level. That would keep me a subscriber for a long time to cum…I mean come.

I agree a lot with your comments Gef and with a lot of what others have said. I have liked SC for several years now and I think the overall quality of the site and the men is among the best out there.

There is room for improvement though. Sometimes, I think if you combined SC’s guys with Randy Blue’s scenarios and the personality of some of CF’s boys you’d have the ultimate site. I like the “realness” of SC’s guys whereas at RB’s guys tend to be to “model-y” to me, but I like the variety of the the scenes. I tire of the bondage room/shower/couch.

SC could use some more passion, deep kissing, more reciprocal oral action too. And ditto to the idiotic ass flexing and the interviewer. He really annoys me and comes across like a tool.

But I critique because I still love the site. And this one too!
